PLASMA 2025

It is with great pride and anticipation that we welcome you to the 40th National Symposium on Plasma Science and Technology for Sustainable Future (Plasma 2025), the nation’s largest and most distinguished gathering dedicated to the field of plasma science, engineering, and technology. As Chairman of this milestone event, I am delighted to invite researchers, industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to join us from 27–29 December 2025 in IIT Tirupati and IISER Tirupati, for what promises to be a truly transformative experience.
Plasma, the fourth state of matter, offers a unique composition of ions, electrons, neutrals, photons, and reactive species that has enabled breakthroughs across semiconductor fabrication, materials processing, fusion energy, nanotechnology, and advanced propulsion. In recent years, the emergence of near-room-temperature plasma has opened exciting possibilities in biomedicine, environmental remediation, food processing, and sustainable agriculture. Plasma science is increasingly becoming a central pillar in developing sustainable and high-impact technologies.

Plasma 2025 will serve as a vital platform to explore these developments through a rich program of keynote lectures, technical sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops. Topics will span fusion energy, additive manufacturing, plasma diagnostics, surface engineering, and applications in sustainability. With participation from academia, government, and industry, the symposium is designed not only to showcase the latest research but also to foster strategic collaborations and policy dialogue for the future of plasma-aided technologies.

The local organizing committee extends a warm welcome to all participants. We encourage you to engage deeply, share your insights, and take full advantage of this opportunity to shape the direction of plasma science and its role in building a better, more sustainable world. We look forward to seeing you in Tirupati this December.
